Microsoft 365 is one of the most popular communication and collaboration solutions on the market for businesses. Though prevalent before, Microsoft saw 95 millions users added in 20201  which is undeniably a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. With people forced to move to remote working, products such as Microsoft Teams soon became integrated into our everyday work lives.

For many, Teams was adopted as a way of carrying out meetings and staying in touch whilst working remotely. Microsoft are constantly making improvements to their products meaning it can be hard to keep up, below we’ve highlighted some of the recent updates to Teams meetings2:

Dynamic View

Teams will now automatically arrange the elements in your meeting for an optimal viewing experience.

Presenter Mode

This allows more personalisation when presenting a video including ‘Standout’ shows the speakers video in front of shared content such as a slide deck.

Breakout Room Timer

In a previous post we explored Microsoft Team’s Breakout Rooms. A feature that allows you break off from a Teams meeting into smaller groups and then return to the main meeting when you like. Now you can set a timer on these breakout rooms, once the timer has expired the rooms automatically close bringing participants back to the main meeting.

Customised Attendee Registration

Teams now allows you to customise your event registration pages to include attendee questions and your company branding as well as follow up email confirmation.

Above is just a snapshot of some of the new features of Microsoft Teams that can enhance your virtual meetings. As our clients dedicated IT Partner we stay up to date with the latest technology and solutions so we can always provide additional value to your business.
