The WestSpring team enjoyed a fun filled evening on Friday as their Quarter 1 team social. Including a quiz all about WestSpring, competitive go-karting and a meaty dinner at Spitfire in Bristol. We’ve put together a few of the highlights to share with you in this blog.
The Quiz
Before setting off for go-karting, the team enjoyed a fun quiz in the office. Prepared by Jason, the quiz involved questions all about WestSpring. Despite being the newest to the team, George got the most questions correct. He was pleased to receive a £20 Amazon voucher as a reward.
The Karting
The team left the office early to meet at TeamSport Go Karting, Avonmouth. And the stakes were high as Jason had bet Elliott £500 that he was unbeatable by the rest of the team! After a ‘friendly’ first round Jason was right, he did seem unbeatable. However, in round two Elliott snatched the 1st place position. We all had great fun go karting, however Elliott is still waiting for his bet to come in!
The Food
After all the excitement from the karting, the team made their way to Bristol city centre. We sat down for dinner at Spitfire Barbecue, for a mammoth dinner (you’d think quite literally by the size of the ribs).
Phil and Jason shared a ginormous butchers board (pictured above). Bacon, wings, jerk chicken legs, onion strings, pickled chilli, slaw, corn on the cob, braai bread, boerewors ring, bossback rib, dirty dog all included! Even how much we ate seemed to get a bit competitive.
WestSpring was founded with a shared vision between co-founders Jason and Phil. Not only did they want to create a company to provide local businesses with a fantastic IT partner – they also wanted to create a fun an enjoyable work environment for their employees. They are looking forward to more fun-filled quarterly team socials to come!
