Microsoft have recently made an announcement regarding their price increases.
You may have already seen from recent news articles or social media posts that from April 1st 2023 Microsoft are increasing their prices by 9% on all Microsoft 365 subscriptions.
The reason for the price increase is due to the current exchange rates of the Great British Pound (GBP) against the United States Dollar (USD). Moving forward Microsoft are going to review the price of their subscriptions every 6 months, so may see increases or unlikely decreases in the cost of subscriptions.
It is not all doom and gloom from the 1st April 2023 though, if you have an existing annual subscription for your subscriptions, you will not be impacted by the price increase until the renewal.
So in January 2023, if you started an annual commitment for 10 Microsoft 365 Business Basic subscriptions you would not be impacted with the price increase until January 2024.
